God uses baffling procedures to produce convincing results. Israel was in bondage for over 400 years, living as slaves to the Egyptian regime. Toiling and working everyday with no expectation of payment. Day in and day out they labored. Their only reward was to eat a small daily portion and get a little rest at night from their labor. The next day, they were back to the same brutal punishment. A bad predicament for anyone to be in, especially for that length of time. What the Egyptians did not know was, it also created a thirst for Israel to get closer to God.

Our Wilderness experiences although hard are actually routes that God uses the create a deeper thirst in our lives. Just take a moment and think back, your loss only created an ambition for you to aggressively go after your dream, resulting in great success. When asked, how did you get to where you are? Your response would be, “I came by way of the wilderness”.
